There's bound to be trouble in Paradise . . .

When her parents decide a change will be good for her, seventeen-year-old Lexie Atkinson never expected they'd send her all the way to Paradise City.

Coming from a predictable life of homeschooling on a rural Australian property, she just knows that Paradise will be amazing. But when she's thrust into a public school without a friendly face in sight, and forced to share a room with her insipid, hateful cousin Amanda, Lexie's not so sure.

Hanging out with the self-proclaimed beach bums of the city, sneaking out, late-night parties and parking with boys are all things Lexie's never experienced, but all that's about to change. It's new, terrifying . . . and exciting.

And when Lexie meets Luke Ballantine, the swoon-worthy, bad-boy leader of the group, the chemistry between them is electric. Trouble with a capital T, Luke is impulsive, charming and answers to no one, and he's sexier than any guy Lexie has ever known. Lexie begins to wonder if Luke is going to be good for her . . . or very, very bad?

What I Thought

I could not put this book down, I read it within hours, I was hooked. And i need Paradise road now!! Cj Duggan is one of my favourite authors and this book just proves why she is so ace! Lexi is desperate to get away from her super quiet home town where she is home schooled. She cant wait to go to an actual school, One that her cousin also attends. She wants to experience what most teenage girls do. And boy, does she get plenty of new experiences. They also all link back to one sexy, surfer bad boy, Luke Ballantine. Although everything doesnt turn out or run as smoothly as Lexie had imagined it would. School isnt how she thought it would be at first, Her relationship with her cousin, Amanda, is strained and never in her wildest dreams, did Lexi think she would be sneaking out of her bedroom window in the middle of the night to meet up with boys and hang out at a bar. Luke Ballantine certainly brings out the bad girl in Lexi. The secondary characters, Amanda, Boon, Laura and Dean are fun and i look forward to seeing what they are up to in the next book. I so dont want to wait until September for the next book, I need to know how Lexi and Luke move forward. Paradise City is a great romance and YA book. I always highly recommend Cj’s books and Paradise City is no exception. I am already super excited for Paradise Road.
