#1 "New York Times" bestselling author S. C. Stephens brings us the next book in her Thoughtless series.

"The spotlight doesn t only shine. Sometimes, it burns."

Being the bad-boy bassist for the world s hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: a big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife, Anna. The one thing it hasn t brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.

Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he s caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos one that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he s seen an ache in her eyes, and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers."

What I Thought

As soon as my sister, Nicola and I heard Griffin was getting his own book, well I cant express how excited we were! When I was approved for an advanced reading copy of Untamed, the excitement amped up a notch and I just had to take a picture and send it to my little sister, just to rub it in her face ha ha πŸ™‚

From the glimpses of Griffin in the previous books in the Thoughtless series, we are made aware of just how crass, sexually charged and how crude he is. I did not expect anything less from him in his own book and he didn’t disappoint. He was big headed and potty mouthed from the start and I loved it!

Griff has always wanted to be the showman, always doing whatever it took to be centre of attention and he is desperate for more people to notice him. He is becoming frustrated at not getting the stardom and fans fawning over him like he thinks he deserves. It’s always Kellan Kyle this, Kellan Kyle that, and Griffin is sick of being at the bottom of the bands ladder.

Anna, Griffin’s gorgeous wife, see’s him as a star, but no matter what she says, it’s not enough for Griffin. Even though he has a beautiful wife, an adorable daughter, Gibson, with another child on the way, and the most amazing home, he wants more.

After being refused his request to take the lead on just one song by the band Griffin becomes more and more bitter towards his band mates/family and ends up drunkenly accepting an offer that’s put in front of him when there is a promise that he will be made a star. Will Griffin end up receiving the recognition he feels he deserves, and if so, what could it end up costing him? Or is Griffin making a huge mistake?

I dont want to go to much into a review of the story for you, because if you are as huge a fan of this series as I am, you just have to read this book for yourself. If you haven’t read this series yet, why not? Your missing out , BIG TIME, I highly recommend you pick the books up now!

Griffin is a proud and stubborn man, who thinks the world should worship at his feet throughout the whole Thoughtless series. I did wonder if he had any sensitivity and emotion in him, and I am glad to report he does! The way Griffin worships his girls is actually very adorable, a word I wouldn’t of thought I would use to associate with Griffin. He does hear when people throw insults his way and when people dismiss him before he finishes what he is saying like he is some joke. Don’t get me wrong, I do love the vulgar, don’t give a s**t what anyone thinks of me side to him to!

At first I did think we had a slightly slow start to the story for events to start kicking in, like it was coasting a little, but not too far in, and bam! We were off! I was hooked.

I felt so many mixed emotions throughout this story. Giddiness at Griffins attitude and his Anna’s antics. Love their conventional methods of beer pong to negotiate ha ha. Anxious for the band and for Griff and Anna. Sadness at Griffins hardships. Anger at his selfishness towards everyone and then extreme happiness!

S C Stephens, yet again gave us a lengthy indepth story, descriptively filled to the brim with feelings and all the events occuring to make the story. And of course, plenty of sexual scenes. Come on…….it is Anna and Griffin the story is about here, wouldn’t expect anything less!!

The book was all written from Griffin’s point of view and to be honest, I wouldn’t of minded reading the odd chapter from Anna’s point of view, as it was a highly emotionl story, also because I would love to be in her head, the fact we didn’t have any chapters from Anna though doesn’t detract from the story at all.

I would say this is a story Β that people with a high profile, rockstar lifestyle, that pretty much live in each others pockets could relate to. I imagine this to be what real life in this situtation and lifestyle could be like. That is all down to the brilliant writing and works of S C Stephens.

The twist! WOW! I know I am a tease πŸ˜‰

Overall…….an emotional, true to life (in my opinion), sexy story. Brilliant!
